Too tired to think. Too tired to remember.
April 13, 2007 on 5:30 pm | In Reflections | 2 CommentsAfter not sleeping for an entire night(and clocking only 2 hours of sleep the night before), i went to school to test out my micromouse before heading down to NTC to find that they were conducting a round of interviews for the next batch of students. Being close to the staff and perhaps because i’m like a resident in their premises, i was asked to sit on the interviewer panel.
I thought, "What the heck. I’m here…so sure."
It was when the first interviewee walked in that I felt the fatigue hit me. And it hit me hard. I couldn’t remember what written on his form. I couldn’t understand half the things that they were saying. And worst of all, as soon as the next question comes, I forget what his response to the previous one was.
After 3 interviewees, I decided, I had to be fair to the candidates and left the panel. Gee, i’ve never felt like this before…I hope i never go through this during the exams…
As for everyone else. Remember, your interviewer is also really just a person. You really have to make yourself be impactful. Because the busy interviewers only want to look out for the important stuff and not the long draggy stories that you have…and the tired ones…well, they need something impactful enough to remember you.
