Ping.Sg Meetup #2: My story.

I begin by asking myself where I should start and I can’t find a better time to begin this than 2 weeks ago when I was well, serving my country.

On the 31st March 2007, I was called to once again serve my country. As required, I had to don the green uniform that I so dread to wear these days. Being the internet whore that I am, I figure, why not bring my gripes to the internet. Naturally, I was blogging about it…and twittering about it too….

Unknown to me at that time, a certain someone only known as tstar had a thing for uniforms…and twittered back.

…and here is where my story really begins…

Since that one magical moment, not only did my green uniform find a new found meaning…it also brought much joy and purpose to many who subscribed to both our twitters.

And better still…it became something to look forward to during the second Ping.Sg Meetup. I mean, honestly, most of the people who were going were people i had already met multiple times… So…who was this tstar person that i’ve been…ermm…connecting with?

The day came, and in the rain I walked to get to Essential Brew in Holland Village. The first faces to greet me were DK, Uzyn, NTT and Kevin. After the brief exchange of greetings, ordering of food…the moment of the evening came.

Walking into our little function room was none other than tstar herself. Her reaction was classic when she saw me in my greens…"oh shit."

Anyhow, the evening went on with Rinaz, ClappingTrees & Eastcoastlife(and husband-cum-boyfriend) joining us later on….We spoke about everything from the pingnation idea to education and the development of data services here in Singapore and overseas. It was certainly a meet that was enriching and relaxing at the same time!

Later on Ebie showered us with complimentary desserts and discounts to boot! Too bad Kevin and NTT left early…

Plateau Serenade

Soon after we devoured the dessert and tooks tons of photos and some videos, we parted with sweet memories, new found friends, tons of new ideas and satisfied fetishes. LoL Most people left while DK, uzyn and myself went over to starbucks to grab a cuppa coffee before catching the last bus home…

It was such a blast!
