Va. Tech Shooting: How could anyone do this?

I’m appalled by the incident.

While the details of the situation are still transpiring, I feel a great need to write this. How could anyone do this? How could anyone for whatever reason do this?

Early reports indicate that the shooter is a Chinese national(Update #1) who could have been angry over a failed relationship. I can understand that you could get really angry at life…and perhaps even the world. We’ve all walked down that path before haven’t we? But in all that anger and depression, how could anyone think of taking the life of random strangers?

This came hours after I watched an episode of Desperate Housewives where a lady who found out her husband was cheating took her revolver went to the supermarket and went on a shooting spree. This is madness.

I’m stunned speechless.
I’m wondering if any of my friends whom i’ve lost touch with are there…

UPDATE #1 : Shooter has been identified as a 23-year old South Korean citizen, Cho Seung Hui. A resident alien in the US. Was majoring in English.
