What a Wet Day it is today…

Today was such a wet day. You know how things always go wrong at the most ‘right’ moment. I woke up feeling all excited about the day and so i packed my stuff and headed down. And just as I excited the elevator. Boom! Heavy winds coupled with heavy rain made it…well…really really wet. And just when I thought that i’d be safe since I was driving to school today, I realised the parking lot that the car was in was flooded. Yes. Just my lot. Bleagh.

So after walking in the rain to get to the car, i walked right back to my block to get another pair of socks and shoes. ( I really hate the feeling of wet socks..it’s like army all over again ) So yeah, after that i went off to school…

And you know what? The best part of the day was to sit down in the office and change into that dry pair of socks and shoes. Then you just sit there looking out the window where its stormy as hell yet you’re in here all warm and safe.

…if only there was a blanket. and maybe a bed. a pillow too. lol

Getting things in order.

With the end of the NTU E & I Networking Tea Session, a huge load is lifted off my shoulders. A huge thank you goes out to Neo who handled a big part of the coordination work(which is a crappy job I tell you). Thank yous also goes out to the rest of the committee for a job well done - Kelvin, Tian Hong, Xiu Juan, Cherry and the rest of comm. On the supplier end, a huge thank you goes out to Kenny Lim from Stamford for helping me pull off some miracles. Thanks for the thank you card and the corporate gift. (…i’ll call him tomorrow…) By the way, I also worked with Kenny when I was organising the first villagetalk….

So what’s next I ask myself. Symbolically, my clean table just means I’ve made space for the next mess to come in. Firstly, i need to catch up on the academic stuff that i’ve lagged behind. From there, it’s time to grow my other efforts. I’m steering away from talking about work because the nature of it is becoming more and more sensitive. Nevertheless, exciting things are on its way.

The personal life of mine is getting pretty mundane although i think i’m sort of achieving work-life harmony. Haha. Oh! I watched Bourne Ultimatum just now. It’s a superb show I tell you! And I think motorola sponsored the phones or something because almost every character was using one. And I’m now using a motorola too!( I bought it before I caught the show) lol…The scene from Bourne Identity where Matt Damon is running along the beach is reminder that I should start running again soon. I haven’t been able to sustain a running schedule this past year. Horrible. No discipline.

On another note, we’re also working hard to make VillageTalk2 happen so stay tuned!
