Step it up…Ya

I need to step up my game. The week’s been really good actually except for the fact that I got a call from the office to remind me that my YGPA* for the academic year 06/07 had dropped below 2.0. For the uninitiated, 2.0 is the minimum required for graduation. While my CGPA* is still decently above 2.0, the office was concerned.

…Truth is…I am too. It never really home the way it did:

Caller : Hi, our records show that your GPA has dropped below 2.0 and we think it might an error. do you know what your GPA for last semester was?

Me :(Oh fuck.) Actually, i’m not sure.

Caller : Ok. Could you email me a softcopy of your Degree Audit tonight?

Me : Yup. No problem. (Oh fuck. Tell me this is not happening)

The next 5 minutes after that call was me taking out the calculator and punching in my GPA scores. Thankfully, on my YGPA had dropped below 2.0

Still. This is a wake up call. For a moment, I thought I was going to have my academic life terminated.
